The Run Fierce Korean War 5K/160 Mile Challenge honors our Korean War veterans who fought the ‘Forgotten War’!
Why Is the Challenge 160 Miles? At the end of the Korean War…The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) was set up between North Korea and South Korea…The length of the DMZ is 160 miles.
**Reminder – Challenge yourself! It’s your race at your pace! You don’t have to complete any of these distances in one day…It’s not about how fast or how many days…It’s about finishing at your pace!
The organization for the Run Fierce Korean War 5K/160 Mile Challenge virtual race was chosen because their ensuring our Korean War veterans are ‘Never Forgotten’ by adding a ‘Wall of Remembrance’ to the Korean War Veterans Memorial that will include the 36,574 names of our American serviceman who gave their lives defending the people of South Korea.
