Why is the challenge 44 miles?
The El Yunque National Forest is located in northeastern Puerto Rico. It is the only tropical rain forest in the United States National Forest System and the United States Forest Service! El Yunque National Rainforest is located on the slopes of the Sierra de Luquillo mountains, encompassing 28,000 acres (43.753 miles) of land, making it the largest block of public land in Puerto Rico.
About the charity
We’ll be helping feed our Puerto Rican families in need! While many are still trying to recover from Hurricane Maria by giving part of the proceeds of this race to the Banco De Alimentos (Food Bank) Located in Bayamon, PR!
